The TAVO Next glides effortlessly over the majority of terrains due to its leatherette handle. It’s not the lightest stroller we’ve ever had but it’s easier to lift up a flight than some of our competitors.
The Cybex Gazelle moves like a gazelle, even when it’s loaded with up to three kids and groceries. The downside is it doesn’t come with a second child seat or a child’s board for growing families.
1. TAVO Next
The TAVO Next is a budget stroller that is able to accommodate children as heavy as 50 pounds. It is very spacious and the seat reclines and lays flat. It is easy to shut and open, and comes with a the XXL canopy, which has peek-a-boo venting and peek-a-boo window. In 2021, Nuna gave the TAVO an updated harness that features Magnetech Secure Snap, which makes it simple and safe to fasten with just one hand.
While the TAVO is a great option for parents who want to save money, it’s not the best choice when you’re looking to utilize a bassinet, or a reversible seat. It’s only able to be oriented only one way, and does not come with any accessories like a bassinet stand or rain cover. It’s considered to be a «modular stroller» or «convertible stroller», and it has more than 20 different configurations to use with different seats, cots, and infant car seats (car seat adapters are sold separately).
We are awestruck by the fact that the Cybex Gazelle is light and easy to move around, making it perfect for parents who want to get out and explore. It also has a huge storage basket underneath and a variety of attachments to allow parents to take light shopping or groceries with it. It’s more expensive than some other 2 in 1 pram in 1 prams but it’s well worth the cost as the quality and functionality of this model is top-quality.
This stroller has a one-pull safety harness that makes it easy to secure your child into the seat. It also has a sun canopy that can be removed with peek-a-boo and XXL panels. It also has a convenient parent tray to hold drinks, snacks and phones. The handlebar can be adjusted to suit the height of the parent, and the brake can be easily accessed which makes it safe for children to operate.
Our mum tester Sophie from London used this stroller with her two girls aged 5 and 10 months. She found it easy to maneuver and very smooth on cobbled streets, even if the ground was uneven. The large shopping basket and ergonomically designed padded footrests made her feel comfortable. She also appreciated that the hood and handlebar fabric could be washed in the washing machine which is important for busy parents!
4. Joovy Twin Roo+
The Twin Roo+ is a frame stroller with a minimalist design that provides car seat compatibility. It also has an enormous storage container. It is among the lightest double strollers available on the market. It weighs just 24 pounds. without infant car seat attachments. This is very light for a double stroller. It is a bit heavier than the UPPAbaby Vista v2 Double and the Thule Urban Glide 2 Double.
The Roo+ comes with a quick-start guide and is simple to use. It snaps together easily and can be road-ready within less than 10 minutes. It doesn’t have an integrated canopy which means your kids will have to wear their own sunshades in case they need extra coverage from the elements.
In our tests, we found the Roo+ to maneuver well for a stroller that doubles as a stroller. It can navigate most terrains, but it has issues with grassy areas as well as over gravel. It can also be hard to steer it up and over 1-inch curbs. This stroller is not recommended for use on stairs or off-road, however its suspension system will help to minimize bumps.
Although the Roo+ has a large under-seat storage bin, it’s difficult to access without removing the infant car seats. This is a problem twin frame strollers typically have however Joovy has an underseat baby carrier to solve this issue.
In contrast to top-scoring strollers the Roo+ doesn’t have a self-standing fold or cup holders. 5. Delta Children LX Side by Side
Delta Children LX Side by Side scored well for weight and folded size. It’s the top value double umbrella stroller we’ve seen in our review. It also scores well in maneuverability which is an essential feature for parents looking for a travel pram and pushchair 2 in 1 that can be tucked away in small spaces. The Delta is a basic product, lacking some features other strollers we tried offer, such as a large storage basket or a deep recline. It is a great option for families with a tight budget or for those who require a second stroller on occasion such as for trips to the zoo.
The LX Side-by-Side is a light and compact stroller. It is simple to turn and push. Its compact frame, with swivel wheels in the front and padded shoulder pads provide smooth riding. The multi-position reclining seats as well as cup holders for parents allow for a comfortable ride for passengers.
It also has a large European-style canopy which provides shade from the sun as well as some protection from light winds. It also comes with two storage bags as well as a five-point safety harness and two storage bags.
